Tony Macrini has been a radio broadcaster, Program Director and News​ ​Director in Hampton Roads since 1976. He left the world of Top 40 radio in​ ​1991 and joined the News / Talk Leader in Southeastern Virginia, AM790​ ​WNIS.

Maverick-minded, entertaining, engaging and extremely well informed, Tony​ ​delivers the news and newsmakers with no allegiance to any political​ ​party. Tony has interviewed a long storied list of powerful politicians, military​ ​service men and women, national radio and television hosts, authors and​ ​other celebrities.

Tony’s live public appearances have always drawn large crowds of loyal​ ​listeners and fans. From Talkfest to Master Of Ceremonies at one of his local​ ​charitable events, Tony has been a proponent of local businesses, local​ ​charities, and our community at large.

  • Tony hosted the Symposium on WW1 and the Symposium of The Korean War at the MacArthur Memorial.
  • Emceed numerous Alzheimer Association events on the Peninsula.
  • The Honor and Remember Emcee at various Gold Star Family Dinners.
