About Virginia Eats + Drinks
Virginia is America’s First Food Region—the true Birthplace of American Cuisine. Throughout its history, the Commonwealth has been a leading tastemaker, rich in ingredients and steeped in hospitality.
Celebrating this legacy is Virginia Eats + Drinks, a statewide, multi-faceted group dedicated to showcasing the incredible food, beverages, and people that make our state unique. From nibbles on the porch to expansive holiday meals, we believe that food made by hand and from the heart is central to the Old Dominion character. As Colonel William Byrd II said in 1732, “In the beginning, all America was Virginia.” So, come home to Virginia—a big table awaits you.
