Known for his provocative style, Hannity has become a popular radio personality and has appeared on a number of talk shows to offer his freewheeling, passionate commentary on politics and the American agenda. He also serves as the host of WNIS-AM's afternoon talk program, The Sean Hannity Show.
A media superstar, the gutsy talk show host always lands on the right side of the issues. Hannity got his start in commercial radio after drawing attention and enthusiasm from his college radio station. He placed a "Job Wanted" ad in R&R, billing himself as "The most talked about college radio host in America." A station in Huntsville, Alabama took a chance on the brash young voice. The world of Talk radio would never be the same.
From that first station in Alabama, Hannity quickly moved to WGST in Atlanta where his strong ratings attracted the attention of WABC New York and the Fox News Channel. In the fall of 1996, Hannity moved to New York to co-host the new "Hannity and Colmes Show" for the fledgling cable news outlet. Fox was so confident in Hannity’s ability to attract viewers, it slotted the show at 9pm, opposite Geraldo on CNBC and Larry King on CNN. Today, the "Hannity and Colmes Show" consistently rivals the veteran King, and Geraldo has since joined the winning Fox News team.
In the world of radio, Hannity joined WABC Radio in 1997. After working as a late night host for a year, Hannity moved to the prestigious afternoon slot where he quickly became the #1 show on New York radio’s fiercely competitive AM dial.
Voted "Talk Personality of the Year" in 2001 by the readers of R&R, Sean Hannity’s energy, charisma and seasoned professionalism score points with audiences and critics alike. Sean Hannity is the hottest commodity in Talk radio.
