Dr. Schreiber was born and raised on Long Island, New York. He developed a love of science at an early age after taking courses at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories before entering high school. During high school, he took advanced science courses at Columbia University on the weekends, and did research in marine biology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Schreiber attended Stanford University, earning a degree in Human Biology with a concentration in Medical Microbiology. At Stanford, he was a member of the Sailing Team, and enjoyed traveling up and down the West Coast to race. After graduating from Stanford with Honors and Distinction, Dr. Schreiber entered the Medical Scientist Training Program at Duke University. In addition to earning an MD at Duke, Dr. Schreiber completed a PhD in the Pharmacology. He completed his internship in the Department of Medicine at Boston Medical Center, and is Dermatology residency in the Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston Medical Center combined program. Dr. Schreiber has been practicing dermatology in South Eastern Virginia and North Carolina for the last twelve years. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member, and past President, of the Tidewater Dermatology Society. He is married to Beth and has two daughters. Dr. Schreiber still enjoys sailing, as well as snow skiing, water skiing, swimming, vegetable gardening, and playing guitar.
