Bonjour all! I hope you have all been well since the last installment of “Outfit of the Moment”. I have had a whirlwind few months, but I’m BACK! I’ve missed you all and greatly appreciate the emails of concern and well wishes that I have received in my absence. I’m back with a vengeance. Even when I don’t feel fabulous about myself, you all inspire me to keep plugging away.
I don’t know if you understand the importance of kind words and the impact they can have on another human being. I can be having a horrible day and can been feeling awful about the way I look; then I get a compliment about something, it could be an article of clothing, an accessory, my hair, or something else. That statement of approval from another makes me feel amazing! My mother always said, “It doesn’t cost anything to be nice to someone” and I believe that to my core. I’m not saying throw out lies to try to make someone feel good, but if you truly like something or if you can find something honest to compliment someone on, then do so! Your words could be the difference between a great and a horrible week for that person.
I’m putting up a picture from last year’s New Year trip to DC. I know it’s an awfully warm outfit for the current weather….but call it wishful thinking. I adore the colder weather fashions. Don’t get me wrong, the bright colors of summer are awesome; but I love the comfy layers of fall and winter. In this picture is my favorite hat; it’s an asymmetrical cloche in a gorgeous shade of amethyst that I got on killer sale at Urban Outfitters. For those of you who don’t know me, I am a sale shopper through and through! I will be posting on a regular basis coming up...so hold on to your hats people (literally, because hats are FAB accessories!) Lisa Marie is back in action.
